This is the plain-language version. We've written it the way we'd want a privacy policy explained to us. If you have any question this doesn't answer, reach out and we'll tell you straight.
Who we are
The ReTouchables is a photo restoration service operated by Talton Holdings LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Talton Holdings LLC d/b/a The ReTouchables. The site is at theretouchables.com.
What we collect
To do our job we need a few pieces of information from you:
- Account information — your name and email address, plus a password (stored hashed; we never see your actual password).
- Order details — what package you chose, what you paid, when you ordered, and any messages you send us through the order thread.
- Your photos — the image files you upload for us to restore. These are the most important thing on this list; see the section below specifically about them.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe, not us. We never see your card number, CVV, or full bank details. We do see the last four digits of the card you used and the amount, which Stripe shares with us for our records.
- Basic logs — like every website, our server logs your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visited. Standard hosting stuff.
About your photos specifically
The photos you upload are the entire reason this business exists, and we treat them like it.
- We never share your photos with anyone outside The ReTouchables. Not for marketing, not for AI training data, not for portfolios — not for anything — unless you give us explicit written permission first.
- Your photos are stored on private folders only you and we have access to.
- Original uploads are kept for as long as your account is active so we can re-deliver finished work if you lose it. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- If you delete your account, your photos and order history get removed within 30 days, except for tax-required records (order amounts and dates) which we keep for the period required by law.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of third-party services to actually run the business. Each one only gets the minimum data they need.
- Stripe — processes your payment. Gets your email and the order amount. Stripe has its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Resend — delivers our transactional emails (order confirmations, proof-ready notifications, etc.). Gets your email address and the message we send you. Their policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Bluehost — hosts the site and stores order data + uploaded photos on their servers. Their policy: bluehost.com/about/policies/privacy.
We do not sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers, data brokers, AI companies, or anyone else.
Cookies and tracking
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. That's it. No analytics cookies, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts watching what you do on our site. If we ever add analytics (e.g., to understand site performance), we'll update this policy and add a banner before turning anything on.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask to see what information we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and have your data removed (except tax records as noted above)
- Withdraw consent for us to keep your photos by asking us to delete them
- Take your data with you if we ever go out of business or you switch providers
To do any of these, log in and message us, or use the contact form. We'll respond within a few business days.
Children
This service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account here, contact us and we'll remove the account.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Photos and order data are stored on Bluehost's servers with access limited to authenticated users and admins. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply the standard protections you'd expect — encrypted transport, hashed credentials, principle of least privilege, and regular updates.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material in this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for active customers, send a notice by email. Minor wording cleanups won't get an email.
